Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - The Rotary Club of Puerto Vallarta Sur invites everyone to join us for breakfast at The River Café on Wednesday, December 6th at 9:00 am. This will be our first winter season fundraising event to support the over 600 local students who, without our help, would not be able to get a proper education.
The Rotarians have been providing educational aid to hundreds of families for over 20 years, and are very proud of the results. Many of the students we've supported have graduated and become professionals and active participants in our prosperous city. Now many of our graduates are involved in helping other students, and the community, by providing leadership programs and becoming mentors themselves.
As of last year, the Rotarians have adopted a Scholarship program to aid families with teens and young adults with cancer. In an effort to improve their quality of life, we provide computer, English, leadership and health classes, as well as a food pantry that allows these families to have a better diet. Over 38 members are assisted by our Scholarships.
Come and enjoy a delicious breakfast at one of Puerto Vallarta's favorite restaurants for a donation of just 500 pesos. Tickets are on sale now at The River Café, Isla Rio Cuale, Loc. 4 in El Centro, and at Andale Restaurant, Olas Altas 425, Col. Emiliano Zapata.
During the breakfast, Rotarians will be selling raffle tickets for incredible prizes donated by local businesses that generously support our efforts. We'll have lots of prizes to be raffled off, so be a winner and join us!
The mission of Rotary International, a worldwide association of Rotary clubs, is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards, and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
