Puerto Vallarta - On March 21, 2018, Cuates y Cuetes on Los Muertos Beach will be celebrating the renewed life that comes with the Spring during the 22nd edition of their annual Spring Equinox Festival.

Also known as the Vernal Equinox, Spring Equinox is a solar festival, celebrated when the length of the day and the night are equal (this happens twice a year, at Spring and Autumn Equinox.) This turn in the seasons has been celebrated by cultures throughout history as a time of renewal, a magical moment which allows in light and peace.

Today, cultures around the world continue to celebrate the coming of Spring. Here in Puerto Vallarta, Cuates y Cuetes hosts a Spring Equinox Festival every year, featuring live music and a special Pre-Hispanic Dance performance to welcome Spring back to the earth.

Since Puerto Vallarta will be celebrating its 100th year as a municipality and 50th as a city on May 31, 2018, all of the city's annual events are even more festive, and Cuates y Cuetes' Spring Equinox Festival is no exception.

Since this year's Spring Equinox will not only be saying goodbye to the old sun, but also to an old era, Cuates y Cuetes' 22nd Annual Spring Jazz Fest will be bigger and better than ever, with 15 bands playing on Los Muertos Beach from 3:00 until 10:00 pm, and a special Pre-Hispanic Dance performance at sunset.

There is no cover charge for the Jazz Festival. Tables and chairs will be set up on the beach, where festival-goers can enjoy Cuates y Cuetes full bar and food service.
