Punta Mita, Nayarit, Mexico - Auberge Resorts Collection is opening a new destination on Mexico's Pacific coast overlooking the Bay of Banderas. The Susurros del Corazón, a Punta Mita Peninsula property, is slated to begin welcoming guests in late 2019.
"Susurros del Corazón means whispers of the heart, and our guiding ethos is to create a retreat with intimacy and a sense of individuality that resonates with guests on a quiet and personal level," Dan Friedkin, owner and chairman, Auberge Resorts Collection, said in a statement. "It will be a resort unlike any other in the area – exquisitely crafted and purposely relaxed in the style of an enchanting private beach house. We are excited to bring Auberge's signature soft-spoken luxury to this jewel of a setting in partnership with landowners Tim Koogle and Gregg Engles."
Inspired by the rustic simplicity of sand, sea, and jungle, the hotel's guest houses and residences will be designed in harmony with nature, including treading lightly on the land.
And, in a nod to the boho-chic culture of the under-the-radar beachside towns dotting Mexico's coastline, Susurros del Corazón's "bungalow by the beach" experience will start with a collection of indoor-outdoor spaces.
The resort will initially include 62 ocean view hotel guest houses and 30 ultra-luxury ocean-front residences. There will also be an on-site spa offering treatments inspired by the region's healing traditions and three scallop-shaped pools that terrace down to the property's stunning beach, where guests will have the opportunity to surf, snorkel and fish against a backdrop of panoramic views of the volcanic Marietas Islands, a protected wildlife refuge.
Susurros del Corazón will join Auberge beach escapes that already include Esperanza and Chileno Bay Resort & Residences in Los Cabos, Mexico; Malliouhana in Anguilla; Nanuku in Fiji, and Mukul Resort in Nicaragua.
