Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - After the first edition's incredible success in 2017, Down Puerto Vallarta is coming back to town, bringing some of the best extreme bikers in the world to the streets of downtown Puerto Vallarta on Sunday, May 13, 2018.
Combining the city's spectacular scenery with one of the most innovative activities in the urban sports market, this exciting urban biking competition has three categories: Downhill, Slope-style and Freestyle, all of which will bring race participants from the Sierra Madre's Cerro de La Cruz to El Malecón on a panoramic 900 meter long speedway.
As they race towards the Malecón, the extreme bikers will come down Aldama street at around 4:30 pm, giving spectators an opportunity to see prestigious international athletes performing impressive bike tricks, jumps, acrobatics, aerial turns at high speeds in this not-for-amateurs competition.
According to organizers, nearly 30 thousand people attended last year's event. Mark your calendars now and make plans to get there early, so you won't miss this exciting family-friendly event. Admission is free and open to the public.
