Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Playing with other children is the best way for kids to learn about the world we live in; how to get along with each other; how to handle and resolve differences. Playing together teaches children that the kids that share the playground with them have the wonderful power of multiplying the fun.

Whether playing a game they've played "forever," or creating new games to play together again tomorrow, the act of playing teaches kids to treasure the resources, many or few, that are essential to the game. And we can all agree that our planet is the most important resource of all. That's why the theme for the 2018 Summer Courses at Biblioteca Los Mangos is: "I Can Do Something!"

Los Mangos believes that playing together gives kids a chance to learn to take care of their homes, the earth, and each other; to meet a playmate they may not yet know, but who could end up being their best friend. That they have the extraordinary power to shape reality, to help others, and to get joy from making others happy; and that there are many different ways of expressing our emotions: painting, building bridges, storytelling, dancing, singing, competing in teams, telling jokes...

The Summer Courses at Los Mangos Library focus on teaching kids to connect with one another; on raising their awareness of the importance of the small decisions we make every day, and how those decisions can impact the quality of life of all inhabitants of our planet: plants, animals and humans.

This will be the 15th year that Puerto Vallarta's Public Library has offered Summer Courses for children aged 3 to 13. We're talking four wonderful weeks filled with dozens of fun and educational activities that range from the arts, culture, and environmental conservation to workshops that stimulate creative thinking, social consciousness, physical development and teamwork - all in a environment of respect and cooperation.

Scheduled to take place from July 9 to August 3rd from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, all Summer courses are inclusive, entertaining and super fun.

Activities & Workshops include: • Cinema • My emotions • Social conscience • Ethics and values • Sports • Swimming • Yoga for kids • Reduce, Recycle, Reuse • Painting • Drawing • Plastilina Modeling • Dance • Music • Ecology • Creativity • And More!

The children will be divided into two age groups: 'Mini' for children ages 3-5 and 'Big Kids' from 6 to 13 years of age.

Donations for the 2018 Summer Courses at Biblioteca Los Mangos are as follows:

Full course: $2,300 pesos per child
2 weeks: $1,300 pesos per child
1 Week: $690 pesos per child
Per day: $165 pesos per child
