Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Act II Stages is entering its 6th exciting year and is BEYOND THRILLED about the incredible new season that's in store! Recently awarded "The Best Performing Arts Venue" in Banderas Bay, Act II brings Puerto Vallarta audiences only the "Best of the Best!"

Act II Entertainment is also very proud that Diana Villamonte, who has already won the hearts of everyone in Puerto Vallarta, has become a contestant on the Reality TV show, La Voz Mexico 2018 (The Voice of Mexico), based in Mexico City. Diana certainly makes a huge impression everywhere she goes, and 'La Voz' is certain to catapult her to international stardom.

On Fridays, October 19 & 26, Act II invites you to a preview of Diana Villamonte's new season in The Red Room. Diana will be singing songs from both of her new shows, "I Will Always Love You," and "More Motown and Beyond," plus songs from her upcoming CD, and songs from last year's hit shows, "Motown and Beyond" and her tribute to Tina Turner, "Simply the Best." This is a MUST-SEE SHOW!

Starting October 31, Act II will be jam-packed with opening night shows! On the Main Stage, you will see the iconic musical comedy, Little Shop of Horrors, the Off-Broadway musical comedy, Nunsense, Amen!, the classic musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (with a few twists and turns) and the brand-new 70's Variety Show, Boob Tube, performed by Don Pope & Rhonda Padmos and their live band.

Opening shows in The Red Room include TV Reality show star, Diana Villamonte, starring in "I Will Always Love You" (a musical tribute to Whitney Houston) and "More Motown and Beyond," (a tribute to the ladies of Motown) and the musical duo, Us Two, will star in FIVE shows, including their "Classics I & II," Country," "Unplugged," and their brand-new musical tribute to "The Best of ABBA & Elton!"

Act II also welcomes the return of the highly popular YouTube sensation/singer/songwriter and TV star, Steve Grand, in his blockbuster, "All American Boy." Also new this year, is "Girls Like Us," a show featuring the music of Carly Simon, Carole King and Joni Mitchell; and "Twist & Shout, a show celebrating the music of the 50s & 60s.

Finally, Act II is known for having the best drag/gay icon shows in Puerto Vallarta, and The Red Room just wouldn't be the same without its two favorite headliner drag queens, Mama Tits, starring in "Triple D," and Hedda Lettuce, starring in "Gringa in Paradise!"

This gay-friendly, 5-star venue continues to present something for everyone. One of Off-Broadway's most popular cult musicals, Little Shop of Horrors is the hilarious tale of a down-and-out Skid Row floral assistant, the girl he loved, and a strange new, man-eating plant threatening to tear their world apart. This cult classic was one of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows and has become a household name thanks to a highly successful film version and a fantastic musical score! For the past 30 years, people just can't get the catchy music out of their heads!

Directed by Alfonso López, the uber-talented director of "Rocky Horror" last year, this beloved horror/comedy/rock/musical is another first-class production at Act II and brings back the sounds and ambiance of the rock 'n' roll era. It stars many of your favorite Act II actors, plus some wonderful new faces, including Maria Rose, Joey Martinez, Alex McLauchlan, Andrew Sands, Shawn Morgan, Eli Estrada, Sasha del Oceano, and Ximena Peña Esparza. Diana Villamonte, Panamanian beauty and TV Star, has taken Puerto Vallarta by storm! Last year, she presented the #1 show in Puerto Vallarta, "Motown and Beyond." Her show sold out every night and was such a smashing success that, mid-season, we asked her to create a Tina Turner Tribute show! That, too, was a hit, selling out every week and breaking all box office records!

This year, we are thrilled to announce that Diana, along with director Alfonso López, has created yet ANOTHER sensational hit show, "I Will Always Love You," a musical tribute to Whitney Houston! Diana, with her powerhouse voice and infectious personality, is the perfect singer to take on the iconic Whitney (her lifelong inspiration). The highlight of Diana's show last year was when she previewed some of her Whitney Houston songs, often having most audience members in tears. Diana blew the audience away, and her fans begged for a whole show of Whitney's songs!

This tiny little gal with the powerhouse voice and infectious personality sings with such vocal power, precision and exceptional range that she has become the queen of the power ballad. Her passion and commitment to her music, as well as her rich voice, belting notes and electrifying top register will bring tears to your eyes.

Diana entered her first singing competition at age 10 and also performed in several local plays. In 2014, she won the Karaoke World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden, and was asked to participate in the Tokyo International Karaoke competition for the following two years. She sang as the "guest artist" at the competition in Singapore in 2015. Then, as a result of the notoriety she received after her karaoke successes, she was asked to star in a reality show on television in Central America. She now has a huge television fanbase! In fact, on September she made her debut as a contestant on the internationally-acclaimed TV Reality Show, La Voz Mexico 2018! Be sure to tune in on Sunday evenings and send her some good vibes!
