10 Fascinating Native Plants of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco
Guest Speaker: Neil Gerlowski, Vallarta Botanical Garden
Tuesday, January 8, 4:30 pm, Incanto
Did you know that Stanhopea tigrine, the flower pictured above, can attract bees from over 10 km away? Or that Rhipidocladum racemiflorum can be used as an alternative to plastic straws? There is so much that we don't know about the regional flora of Vallarta, yet it fascinates us every day.
Join us January 8, as Neil Gerlowski, Executive Director of Vallarta Botanical Garden, guides us on a photographic journey of some of PV's most interesting plants and flowers.
This is our first membership meeting of 2019 and we look forward to seeing all of our members there.
At 4:30 pm, we will meet for drinks on the beautiful Incanto terrace overlooking the Rio Cuale, then at 5:00 pm we will go inside for our presentation and discussion.
If you've not renewed your membership, or would like to bring new friends to join as members, we can process these memberships at the meeting.
