Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Vallarta Garden Club is pleased to have Marcos Mendoza Corona speaking at our next meeting, set to be held at Incanto, Insurgentes #109 at the Rio Cuale, on Tuesday, April 9. Join us at 4:30 pm for Drinks with Friends, followed by his presentation, 'Plants of Mexican History and Folklore' at 5:00 pm.
Ancient civilizations across the world have explained the origin and creation of the universe with stories about their gods and deities. Mexico is no exception. Join us as we rediscover some of these stories, learn how native Mexican plants helped inspire ancient people to understand their world and how these traditions continue to manifest themselves today in modern Mexico.
Marcos Mendoza Corona is the Vallarta Botanical Garden Tour Manager and has a Bachelor's Degree in History from Universidad Símon Bolivar. He has a wealth of knowledge on this interesting subject, and will be sharing his insights with us at our April 9 meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!
