Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Are you ready for some volleyball? The 2019 Mexican Beach Volleyball Open is set to take place at Playa Camarones in downtown Puerto Vallarta from May 24 to 26, with 104 of the best doubles teams in the country seeking volleyball glory and their share of the $80,000 pesos to be distributed among the winners.
Since the first beach volleyball tournament to ever be held in Mexico was played in Puerto Vallarta in 1989, there's no better place to hold this important event. And, since beach volleyball is closely linked to the history of the city, there's no better time to host it than during Vallarta's 101st anniversary celebrations.
Some of the country's best volleyball duos from 18 states will be competing in the 2019 tournament's three categories - freestyle for both men and women, juniors age 14-15, and youth from 16-17 years of age - on six professional-size courts at Playa Camarones, which is well-suited for the tournament as it has plenty of room for spectators.
Entrance to the 2019 Mexican Beach Volleyball Open is free to the general public. During the three days of intense action, matches will be held from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

BN Editor's note: Located at the North end of the Malecón, between Hotel Rosita and Buenaventura Hotel in downtown Puerto Vallarta, Playa Camarones is not just a beautiful beach, but also one of the select group of certified Blue Flag beaches of international quality in Mexico, so please help keep it clean.
