Puerto Vallarta continues to be a very attractive tourist destination for the domestic market. Proof of this is that Aeromar, a Mexico-based airline with one of the most modern fleets in the market, will open a direct flight from Mexico City to Puerto Vallarta on June 13, just in time for the summer vacation season.

According to Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust director, Javier Arana, PV is constantly attracting the interest of national and international airlines, due to the fact that more and more tourists are interested in vacationing here.

The CEO of Aeromar, Danilo Correa, said, "Aeromar is proud to offer a new route that connects one of the most beautiful destinations on the Pacific Ocean - Puerto Vallarta - with Mexico City. To introduce the new route, which will begin on June 13 with four flights a week on 72-passenger ATR 72-600 airplanes, Aeromar will offer their customers a discount of 15% off the base rate. In anticipation of higher demand during the summer vacation period, a Sunday flight will be added in the months of July and August, increasing frequency to five times a week.

The itinerary for this route will be from Thursday to Sunday leaving CDMX at 10:35 am and arriving at the PVR airport at 12:30 pm. On Saturday it departs at 1:00 pm and arrives at 2:55 pm, and on Sunday it leaves at 12:20 pm and arrives in Puerto Vallarta at 2:15 pm.

Flights from Puerto Vallarta to Mexico City will depart on Thursdays and Fridays at 11:35 am, and arrive in the capital city at 1:30 pm. On Saturdays the plane leaves at 3:40 pm and arrives at 5:30 pm, and on Sundays the itinerary is from 2:10 pm to 4:00 pm.
