Atlanta, Georgia - Delta Air Lines knows travelers are focused on the summer, but the carrier is already looking ahead to the winter and its expanded service from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Starting in December 2019, Delta will offer expanded service from Seattle to popular leisure destinations, with an 18 percent increase in total winter season seats.
For those looking for convenient flights to Mexican beach resorts, Delta will offer winter routes from Washington to Los Cabos every day and four weekly flights each to Puerto Vallarta and Cancun.
Delta Air Lines has been offering continuous service from U.S. destinations to Puerto Vallarta for more than 35 years. "We want to thank our Puerto Vallarta business partners and Mexican authorities for their support and contributions to the great experiences Delta customers have always enjoyed," said Carlos E. Hernandez, Delta's Mexico Director.
Puerto Vallarta reigns as one of Mexico's most popular winter destinations because of its great diversity and almost perfect climate. Along with golden beaches, mountains and jungles you'll discover modern amenities and creature comforts. It's also a sports lover's paradise offering an endless array of outdoor adventures - from zip lining and surfing to mountain biking and sport fishing.
Delta continues to be Seattle's fastest-growing carrier, having added nearly 100 new departures and more than doubled the number of peak-day seats offered since 2014.
"The competition we've created has been a great thing for Seattle, with lower fares and higher standards of customer service, on and off our planes," Delta Vice President Tony Gonchar said in a statement. "None of this would be possible without the strong support and spirit of partnership we share with the Port of Seattle. Delta is here to stay, and we're just getting started."
