Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Act II Stages will kick off their 2019-2020 season of entertainment on Oct. 29 with the hit Broadway Musical, 'Mamma Mia,' and a Grand Gala to open their 7th season of entertaining Puerto Vallarta. Meanwhile, Summer fun continues this week, with Bob's Karaoke Party on Tuesday and Us Two's 'Abba & Elton' show on Wednesday.

Season 7 Opening Night Tickets are Going Fast!

Act II will be celebrating the opening of their 7th season, as well as the opening of Mamma Mia, with an "All White Party," where attendees will be dressed in white... just like at a Greek wedding! The catered party will begin at 6:00 pm and there will be an after-show "meet 'n greet" party.

With a budget equals that of 8 shows, Mamma Mia will be the biggest show that Act II has ever presented! But founding partner Danny Mininni is feeling confident that it is going to be a HUGE hit and, along with producing partners Alfonso Lopez and Oscar Cisneros, he's "putting his money where his mouth is." Inspired by a recent whirlwind theater trip to London, where they saw the hit musical at the Novello Theater, the partners thought... "We Can Do That!" Act II Welcomes Federico Nuñez Murias

Act II is proud to introduce their brand-new, and much-valued, member of the creative staff, Federico Nuñez Murias, who has taken over the roles of Costume Designer AND Choreographer! This quiet, soft-spoken man is an absolute dynamo, stealing the hearts of everyone he meets. He is now creating all of the beautiful costumes required for Mamma Mia, as well as many new costumes for performers in The Red Room, AND he is the official choreographer!

Federico was born in Mexico City, and at a very young age, lost his mother. He learned how to sew by watching seamstresses make costumes, and later joined the profession to pay for his studies at the National Institute of Fine Arts. At age 14, he was finally able to enter the world of musical theater, participating in many productions, including Cats, Jungle Book, Jose the Dreamer, and many others. Federico also studied at a couture academy with Tepic designer, Julia Santillan, but feels that his "real" academy of learning is life itself.

In 1998, he moved to Puerto Vallarta, where he has had the opportunity to perform in many different venues in almost every capacity, including dancer, choreographer, designer, and circus acts! In 2015, Federico produced the Miss Valle Dorado pageant, then devoted several years to "haute couture," and created beautiful wedding gowns.

This summer, Federico was referred to Act II by his good friends, Noemi and Daniel, of the musical duo, Us Two. Federico says, "I did not know about Act II until Noemi and Daniel told me that quality theater was being done in Vallarta. Act II is a blessing and I think it is the reward for what I have worked toward all of my life. I love doing what I am passionate about, and am so thankful that my hard work is recognized and appreciated. I thank God for allowing me to be here. I also thank Dany and Noemi for recommending me; Danny Mininni, Alfonso Lopez and Oscar Cisneros for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful team; and all of the wonderful cast members who put up with me. I have a lot to learn in Act II, but I think I have a lot to share, too."

To which Danny Mininni replied, "Federico, you are OUR blessing. Thank YOU."

Mexican Independence Day Celebration
Friday, September 13 - 6:00 pm

Act II is pleased to announce plans for the LARGEST Mexican Independence Day celebration in Puerto Vallarta, set to take place on Friday, September 13, starting at 6:00 pm. The evening's festivities include a Welcome Shot of Tequila, an "All-You-Can-Eat" Taco Bar, a Show featuring 12 performers and 10 Mariachis, and a HUGE Fireworks Display just above Act II'S building, which can be enjoyed from our courtyard.
