Ecotours De México "...very personable and knowledgeable attention."
At Ecotours de México, we offer a variety of land-based ecotours in and around Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Our turtle camp, bird watching and hiking tours give people of all ages the opportunity to enjoy new and unique experiences while learning more about Mexico's flora and fauna.
Turtle Camp Tours Each year, thousands of Olive Ridley eggs are laid on the beaches of Banderas Bay, and from August-December 5th we offer you the opportunity to witness this wonder of nature. During nesting season, our team of dedicated biologists and conservationists guide tours every day from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am. Turtle Camp tours include a turtle lecture and video presentation, a typical Mexican dinner, a beach patrol in search of egg-laying turtles, a Hatchling Release certificate and a donation to the Olive Ridley Turtle Research and Conservation Project in the Bay of Banderas.
Bird Watching Tours The Banderas Bay region hosts about 350 bird species in its diverse habitants and ecosystems, ranging from mountains, marshy lagoons, rivers, tropical forests, mangroves, oak pine forests and shorelines. We offer several different bird watching tours every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 6:30 am-1:30 pm. All of our bird watching tours are guided by one of Vallarta's top birders and include ground transportation, a Continental breakfast, binoculars, a telescope, checklists and field guides.
Hiking Tours We offer 2 very special hiking tours in Puerto Vallarta. Our Hidden Paradise Hiking tour takes you to Boca de Tomatlan, where you'll see different species of flora and fauna while hiking in the tropical decidious forest until you reach Colomitos beach, where you can snorkel [equipment included] in the crystal clear water. Our El Nogalito hiking tour takes you along a riverside trail in the tropical jungle where our guides will assist you with flora and fauna identification. Be sure to wear your swimsuit under you clothes so you can swim in a natural pool. Available every day from 8:30 am to 5 pm, both of these 5-hour hiking tours include ground transportation, refreshments, a light lunch and bilingual expert guides.
