Puerto Vallarta Hotels Commended PVNN
Puerto Vallarta - Once again, international tourist industry experts have recognized Puerto Vallarta by rewarding local hotels for meeting high quality standards. In the list of reader-recommended hotels of the 2005 edition in North America, the Caribbean and Mexico, Conde Nast Johansens Magazine recently awarded the Quinta Real Hotel in Puerto Vallarta with the Platinum Award for excellence in quality and facilities.
Conde Nast Magazine is a London-based, tourist-specialized international publication with offices around the world, aimed at a high buying power market. To be recommended by its travel guide, the publication selects properties that meet the standards of excellence from 39 countries around the world.
The Velas Vallarta Hotel satisfactorily passed the strict guidelines of "Benchmarking," a process that evaluates the consumption, management and care of the world's energy and water resources. Meeting these standards allows the hotel to begin the Green Globe certification process, which is an environmental improvement affiliation of standardization and certification for sustainable tourism, based on the U.N. Conference on Environment and Development's Agenda 21.
Green Globe certification is an investment that brings added value to any company, since it promotes tourism as a sustainable and responsible economic activity, provides cost reduction for businesses and improves the company's position in the international tourist market, and increases growth opportunities by attracting ecologically conscious consumers. Development of sustainable tourism on a world level is a powerful instrument to increase the benefits of tourist resources in communities, maintaining cultural integrity as well as preserving the environment for future generations.
With these commendations, Puerto Vallarta continues to position itself in the forefront of international tourism markets as a quality destination, offering visitors excellent service, modern infrastructure and unmatchable natural beauty, along with the warmth of its people and a diversity of tourist products.
