Puerto Vallarta Jazz Festival May 8-12

Puerto Vallarta - At a recent press conference, the Puerto Vallarta Cultural Department announced that the Second Annual Puerto Vallarta Jazz Music Festival will host free concerts at the Los Arcos Amphitheater May 8-12 at 8 pm.
During the press conference, which was presented by Secretary of Culture Manuel Santana Encarnación, City Hall Press Secretary Gloria Palacios, Group Modelo executive Karoll Vianey Velasquez and Citrus Restaurant manager Leonardo Lerma, Santana Encarnación said, "We are concentrating specifically on jazz and electronic music in this festival because this type of music is very popular with the public."
He went on to say that the music festival will host 5 days of free concerts by popular jazz and electronic fusion musicians from Austria, giving Puerto Vallarta residents and visitors the opportunity to share in an international musical and cultural experience.
City Hall Press Secretary Gloria Palaces said that the Puerto Vallarta Jazz Music Festival is an important element of tourist promotion, especially during the month of May, which will feature many different cultural events to commemorate the anniversary of our city.
Featuring international bands with a focus on Austrian jazz musicians, several groups from Austria will be represented, including Forms of Plasticity, Attwenger, Sofa Surfers and the ever popular Peter Natterer Quartet.
The Second Annual Puerto Vallarta Jazz Festival promises to be an unforgettable musical event . . . so don't miss it! Each evening will feature a different free jazz concert, scheduled to be held at the Los Arcos Amphitheater at 8 pm:
Sunday May 8th: Troker, Forms of Plasticity
Monday May 9th: DJ Alejandro, Merodio, Attwenger
Tuesday May 10th: Vania Guzmán
Wednesday May 11th: Belanova, Sofa Surfers
Thursday May 12th: Clausura, Peter Natterer Quartet
