Vallarta's Cultural Department Launches Publicity Campaign PVNN
| Puerto Vallarta's Mayor Lic. Gustavo González Villaseñor | Puerto Vallarta - Cultural events in Puerto Vallarta encompass a broad range of interests and enthusiasms covering everything from Mariachi, International Film, Fine Art, and Gourmet Festivals, to Fishing, Tennis and Golf Tournaments, live music and dance performances, musical theater productions, workshops, charity functions and seasonal Art Walks.
Within the last few years, Puerto Vallarta has seen a major growth in its exciting cultural life and there's so much to see and do in the Banderas Bay area that those of us who live, winter, or enjoy regular vacations here have all, at one time or another, been disappointed to learn we've missed an important cultural or social event "after-the-fact."
In an effort to improve communications, Mayor Lic. Gustavo González Villaseñor and the Cultural Department recently launched the "From 100 Days to the Next 100 Days" program. In accordance with the program, the Puerto Vallarta Cultural Department plans to hold regularly scheduled press conferences every 100 days at the Cuale Cultural Center, which will give the people of Vallarta a "Cultural Thermometer" designed to monitor and evaluate the Department of Culture's, and the mayor's, efforts to promote Puerto Vallarta as a world-class tourist destination.
This innovative publicity program will not only provide Vallarta residents, visitors, local press and the worldwide media with a "heads up" on upcoming events, but will also be a reliable source of news, information and tourism statistics for all of the festivals, performances, community meetings and workshops, free concerts, social gatherings, charity fund raisers and the numerous cultural events and celebrations that were hosted in Puerto Vallarta over the preceding 100 days. |
