Allegro Vacation Club Announces Opening of First Club

Allegro Vacation Club, a division of Occidental-Allegro (Madrid, Spain) that owns hotels and resorts in more than 75 locations, has announced the opening of the First Club of Grand Nuevo Vallarta (Nayarit, Mexico).
The Allegro Vacation Club currently operates timeshare resorts in 12 of the Occidental Resort and Hotel locations, primarily in the Caribbean and Mexico.
The First Club concept provides upgraded services to Club Members. Special privileges include preferred accommodations, private members’ lounge, gourmet breakfast as well as a Members-only barbecue, private pool, beach and Jacuzzi®. The First Club also has its own dedicated concierge, exceptional room amenities and the right to upgrade a unit at any non-First Club property in the Allegro Vacation Club. First Club Members may also use any Occidental Royal Club accommodations with no upgrade fee.
The First Club Nuevo Vallarta is the fourth of its kind to open. Two others are in the Dominican Republic, a third in the Mexican Mayan Riviera at Occidental Playacar.
Grand Nuevo Vallarta is located on the beach in Bahia de Banderas. Surrounded by lush forests of palm trees, the family resort is situated in a classic tropical environment. As with other First Clubs the member / staff ratio provides consistently high service. At Grand Nuevo Vallarta eight staff members are dedicated to providing services to 35 guest suites. First Club members also enjoy the all-inclusive program offered to all Allegro Club Members.
Grand Nuevo Vallarta’s three restaurants, two snack bars, two bars and tea room offer a wide choice of dining and refreshment options. Two of the restaurants have gourmet offerings of Mexican or Italian cuisine. The third is a sumptuous all-day long buffet style. Additional benefits of the all inclusive plan include alcoholic beverages, tennis courts, kayaks, windsurfers, activities, and supervised Kids Club.
The resort, in the posh Nuevo Vallarta resort district is 15 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta airport and 25 minutes from the restaurants, shopping and clubs of Puerto Vallarta itself. Two championship golf courses are near by.
According to Francisco Camejo, Manager of Allegro’s more recent First Club facility “it is not just the special amenities like the butler service on their private beach and the high speed internet connection that First Club members relish. It is the personalized service. From the moment we escort them in a private golf cart to their champagne greeting, First Club Members know they are special. We know their names, what they like to drink and what activities interest them.”
Allegro Vacation Club has nearly 17,500 members from around the world. U.S. and Canadian residents make up approximately 60% of their membership with 15% coming from Mexico. The remaining 25% are European, particularly the United Kingdom and Germany.
