October Events at Cornerstone Hospital PVNN
| For more information on these activities and seminars, please contact Pamela Thompson at 224-9400, ext. 135, or send her an email at: pmt15@hotmail.com. | Puerto Vallarta - Cornerstone Hospital has just released its community calendar for the month of October, which includes a variety of activities and events ranging from tours of the hospital to seminars and conferences on health-related issues.
On Saturday October 1st at 6 pm, Pamela Thompson will present information on Cornerstone Hospital Insurance at Que?Pasa Restaurant on Olas Altas. Thompson will be explain Cornerstone's discount cards and will have them available at no charge. She will also have Insurance-Medex information (regular and air evacuation), and hopes to have a representative from IMSS present in order to provide attendees with information on this program as well.
Cornerstone staff will be giving tours of the hospital every Tuesday in October. If you are interested in finding out about the services and facilities the hospital has to offer, just show up at the reception desk before 10 am, when the tour begins.
If you miss the meeting at Que Pasa on the 1st, informative sessions on health insurance will be held in the first floor lobby of the Medical Tower from 9 am to noon on Wednesdays, the 5th and 19th of October. The coordinators invite you to bring all of your questions.
A diabetic support group meeting [in English] is scheduled for Thursday October 6th at 7 pm in the hospital's cafeteria. A similar group in Spanish will assemble on October 20th - same place, same time.
On Thursday, October 13th, the hospital will be offering free blood pressure checks at the cafeteria from 9 am 'til noon.
Don't miss guest-speaker Therapist Sueanne Lineberger at the "How to Deal with Difficult People" conference scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 22nd at 10 am in the Cornerstone Cafeteria.
And finally, on October 27th at 7 pm, Dr. Max Greig, Cornerstone Hospital's Medical Director, will talk about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, a theme of interest for everyone who works on computers. The conference will take place in the hospital's cafeteria.
