A Look at Erotica by Mexican Artists Tour de Art PVNN
The world premier of the "Look at Erotica by Mexican Artists" Tour de Art will be taking place in participating Puerto Vallarta art galleries from September 25 through October 2nd. Presented by the Lifestyles Organization, which has been supporting erotic art for more than ten years by organizing events in the US, this is the second time that an event of this kind has been held in Mexico.
This collaboration between the most beautiful art galleries in the world and Lifestyles, an organization famous for its conventions and events in Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Miami, Las Vegas and Southern California, as well as sensual tours at Desire Resort and Spa and famous resorts in Jamaica, is now visiting the Qualton Club Resort in Puerto Vallarta to carry out the 2nd International Lifestyles Convention.
Participating art galleries will be showing the works of talented Mexican artists such as: Vidal Pinto Estrada, Joly Lacarra, Julieta Bartolini, Hugo Crosthwaite, Martin Tellez, Francisco Cabello, y Miguel Labrada, Jose Montiel Vazquez, Arturo Lona Montiel, Jose Lona Montiel, Hector Lona Montiel, Alejandro Zenker Hackett, Eduardo Medina, Jorge Vargas Villicana, Nora Patrica Beteta, Salvador Carvajal, to name a few.
The "Look at Erotica by Mexican Artists" Tour de Art is a collection of a dynamic body of work that demonstrates the sense of identity and cohesion that has been created for the contemporary artist that lives and works in Mexico. Over the few last decades, Mexican artists have emerged as powerful agents of change, a new social current in the tireless search for freedom of expression.
"Erotic art is a mirror that can clearly and exactly portray any period" says Gallery XART Director Luis De La Cruz. "Obviously the critics will spend their energies and efforts discussing the erotic aspects of these works, rather than their artistic qualities. But in reality, what they usually ask is how we distinguish between pornography and art when there is a common theme: sex."
"Our argument is that these works of art are acclaimed due to the conjunction of the pornographic thing and the erotic thing, and they certainly reveal the fundamental assets and esthetics of art, in spite of their pornographic qualities."
There is no doubt that contemporary art could be proof of the artist's integration with society. In fact, it could be said that artists seek only one thing – to attract attention. In exchange, the "Look at Erotica by Mexican Artists" Tour de Art offers us the most profound message of ethics.
