Also starring Eduardo Medina, Luis Ernesto Michelle, Alfredo Toxqui, Luis Valls and Jorge Sanchez, this is the first time that the movies have portrayed Mexican soccer players as International Sports figures.

La Hacienda del Terror also marks the film debut of Paulo Rodrigo Fernandez Rivera, the son of actress Patricia Rivera and singer Vicente Fernandez, who is sure to become an overnight sensation when his first record is released next March.

For the making of the movie, producer Martin Castañeda put together a star-studded cast of Mexican movie stars, television actors and soccer players including: Oswaldo Sanchez, Maria Sorte, Jose De Jesus Corona, Patricia Rivera, Eduardo Medina, Lina Santos, Luis Ernesto Michelle, Manuel Ojeda, Luis Valls, Lorena Velazquez, Jorge Sanchez, Norma Lazareno, Alfredo Toxqui, Geraldine Bazan, Rodrigo Fernandez, Guillermo Quintanilla, Mario Almada, Ana Luisa Peluffo, Fernanda Reto and Maribel Palmer, and a host of other celebrities.

Originally shot in 2003 on 16 mm film, La Hacienda del Terror depicts the suffering of a young woman who is forced by her father to go into a convent. When she decides to flee with her fiancè, her actions result in tragic consequences.

To set the film's mood, Castañeda utilized a variety of Mexican locals, including homes and estates in Mexico City, Guadalajara and the rural community of Tesistan near Lake Chapala. But when it came to shooting scenes depicting Mexico's natural beauty, he chose to film scenes in several of the most beautiful places in Puerto Vallarta.

Castañeda utilized some of the most recognized locations in Puerto Vallarta, including Marina Vallarta, the Colonia Cinco de Diciembre Pantheon, the streets in the ever-popular Olas Altas area, Los Arcos de Mismaloya and the Puerto Vallarta Zoo to set the mood for some of the movie's most dramatic scenes.

Next time you visit your favorite video store, be sure to look for La Hacienda del Terror. This film, produced by Martin Castañeda, representing Castañeda Films Mamachuy S.A. de C.V. and El Zoologico de Vallarta, promises to put movie lovers on the edge of their seats.
