Banderas Bay Regatta

Puerto Vallarta - The first annual month-long Festival Nautico continues with the running of the 10th annual Banderas Bay Regatta on March 31st, April 1st and 2nd. Sponsored by the states of Nayarit and Jalisco, Festival Nautico has been a celebration of the people who live on the shores of Banderas Bay in Puerto Vallarta and its surrounding communities, its ecology and future.
The Banderas Bay Regatta kicks off with a Folkloric Ballet at Paradise Village Amphitheatre on Thursday evening, followed by the Boat Parade on Friday at noon and the first race at 1:30 in the afternoon. The best viewing will be from the shores of Nuevo Vallarta, and all activities will be based at Paradise Village.

Monday, March 27th
5 pm - Entries Close at the Vallarta YC, Race Committee
Wednesday, March 29th
1 pm - "Start Your Heart Out" Practice starts at the Committee Boat/Start Line in Banderas Bay
6 pm - BBQ & posting of classes and ratings at the Vallarta Yacht Club
Thursday, March 30th
10 am - Hospitality / Sales Area Opens at the Vallarta Yacht Club. Handicap Changes Deadline at the Vallarta Yacht Club Race Committee Box
1 pm - Race packets available before the Skipper's Meeting.**
3 pm - Mandatory Skippers Meeting and Race Seminar at the Paradise Village Hotel.**
7-9:30 pm - Welcome Reception with the Ballet Folklσrico at the Paradise Village Hotel Amphitheater.
Friday, March 31st
Noon - Boat Parade in the Nuevo Vallarta Channel
1:30 pm - 1st Race all Classes in Banderas Bay
6-11 pm - Open House at the Vallarta Yacht Club / Live Music at the Paradise Marina near boat ramp. Non members welcome.
Saturday, April 1st
1 pm - 2nd Race all Classes in Banderas Bay
6-11 pm - Open House at the Vallarta Yacht Club / Live Music at the Paradise Marina near boat ramp. Non members welcome.
Sunday, April 2nd
1 pm - 3rd and Final Race all Classes in Banderas Bay
7-10 pm - Grand Awards Banquet and Live Entertainment, Paradise Village Hotel Area
** Not open to the public.
