| After two days of intense negotiations, the participants in this year's Gala PV took some time to enjoy a Mexican Fiesta at the Sheraton Hotel, and Banderas News video journalist Laura Gelezunas had a front row seat at the party | Puerto Vallarta - After two days of intense negotiations, preliminary results from this year's Gala PV show a three-percent increase in hotel assignments over 2006 - and approximately 1.1 million room nights were booked.
In celebration, Gala PV participants took some time to enjoy the liquid gold of Mexico at the Sheraton Hotel. A cocktail reception, with native dancers and all kinds of margaritas, kicked-off the evening. This was followed by dinner and live entertainment provided by performers from Mundo Cuervo of Guadalajara.
According to Secretary of Tourism, Horacio Gonzálex, "Puerto Vallarta is a unique destination because it is the only beach with the true flavor of Mexico and it is an attractive and important place for the tourists because it is very inviting." And all of the participants agreed that Puerto Vallarta is unparalleled as a vacation hot spot.
The highlight of the evening's festivities were performances by the dancers, band, and cowboy provided by Mundo Cuervo. According to some of the performers, Cuervo is not just a drink, it is a way of life.
