Hybrids are going where they've never been before. Lexus introduced the first "full" hybrid paired to a V8 engine for the best in luxury, performance and efficiency. The 2008 Lexus LS hybrid sedan was introduced to the world at the New York International Auto Show.
The hybrid version of the brand's fourth-generation flagship sedan combines a traditional gasoline engine with electric motors to produce outstanding performance, while improving fuel efficiency and producing dramatically fewer emissions. Combined with Lexus' hallmark luxury features, this car will be at the pinnacle of the luxury car market.
Knowledge and acceptance of hybrid vehicles continues to grow. This new Lexus hybrid comes to the market at a time when one-third of consumers are now considering purchasing hybrid vehicles.
