The tourism revenue of Mexico has been constantly decreasing in the last six months since the country was hit by the hurricane Wilma in October 2005.
A total 5.52 million foreign tourists visited Mexico in the first quarter of 2006, down 4.01 pct year-on-year.
Mexico posted a record-high $11.795 bln (9.24 bln euro) international tourism revenue for 2005, up 9.7 pct year-on-year, the Latin America News Digest said on February 20, 2006. Mexico attracted 22 million foreign tourists in 2005, a 6.5 pct increase. |
