The portal, which can be visited at the Internet address www.loscinco.org, was developed by members of the Mexican Movement in Solidarity with Cuba.
Israel Breton, head of the digital edition, said the website offers several articles showing injustices and arbitrary acts committed against the Five by US authorities since their arrest in September 12, 1998.
Besides the biographies of Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino and Rene Gonzalez, there is an important graphical work on them plus the world campaign in favor of their release.
Breton noted the portal has links with prensalatina.com.mx, prensa-latina.cu, antiterroristas.com, Cuba's official Granma newspaper and other sites that treat the topic.
In Mexico, as in the rest of the globe, a solidarity drive for The Five began on September 12 and ends October 6, the 30th anniversary of the Barbados crime.
That day in 1976 terrorists bankrolled by Washington, among them Luis Posada Carriles, placed bombs that exploded in mid-flight on a Cubana de Aviacion plane with 76 people aboard. |
