World for Cuban 5 Rights
email this pageprint this pageemail usPrensa Latina

Havana, Cuba - The Committee for the Freedom of the Cuban Five imprisoned in the United States called for the creation of a commission to demand non-immigrant visas for the wives of two of them.

Olga and Adriana are the wives of Rene Gonzalez and Gerardo Hernandez, respectively, and, for years, have been denied visas to visit their husbands although all prisoners have the right to receive visits from loved ones.

In a press conference on International Family Day, Ramirez assured that the world campaign of women in support of Olga and Adriana is more alive than ever and will not conclude until its goal is achieved.

Also, she added that this drive joins the struggle of 315 committees in over a hundred countries for the liberation of the five Cuban anti-terrorists.

As a whole, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero, Rene Gonzalez and Fernando Gonzalez received sentences of four life imprisonments and more than 74 years for aborting terrorist plans against Cuba by US-based organizations.
