Marco is a 13 year old boy who lives in Puerto Vallarta and suffers from Osteosarcoma. Recently one of his legs was amputated to give him a better chance at getting well, but more studies are being made and he is still undergoing chemotherapy.
Despite the fact that he has had cancer since he was four years old, Marco is a very brave and strong boy whose condition has not stopped him from being cheerful and full of joy - or from dreaming about his wish... to go to Disneyland.
The joy of bringing a smile to a dying child's face and a twinkle to their eyes in the midst of their suffering is Make a Wish's goal, and you can help make this boy's wish come true, while enjoying a fun-filled day on Banderas Bay aboard the Bouvier.
On July 28th, 2007 the owners of the Bouvier, a 32 foot Catamaran, are hosting two special snorkeling trips to Los Arcos and donating all of the proceeds to MAW to help make Marco's wish come true.
Scheduled to depart from Los Peines Pier on July 28th at 8 am and 12 pm, these special Banderas Bay cruises will help cover the costs of sending Marco to Walt Disney World - including passports and travel expenses for him and his father to make a trip to Guadalajara to obtain the visas they need to make the trip to Orlando, Florida in October.
Dubbed Un Paseo por el Deseo de Marco, each of these three-hour boat trips to Los Arcos cost just $200 pesos per person and include sodas, snacks and snorkeling gear. (Alcoholic drinks are not included.)
