Mexico's Foreign Ministry on Sunday condemned recent terrorist attacks in Britain and expressed its support for and solidarity with the British government and people.

In a communique, the ministry said Mexican President Felipe Calderon "condemns the terrorist incident perpetrated on Saturday at Glasgow airport and its possible link with frustrated attempts on Friday in central London."

On Friday, British police deactivated two car bombs loaded with explosive devices made from gasoline and nails in busy areas in central London.

The following day, a burning car was driven into the front of the main terminal building at Glasgow Airport, Scotland, and two people were subsequently arrested.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Saturday evening raised the country's terror alert level to "critical" due to the terrorist incidents.
