Last week, Puerto Vallarta Mayor Javier Bravo was joined by City Council members and City Hall executives for a ground-breaking ceremony at the Old Regional Hospital, which is being remodeled to provide office space for four Municipal Agencies.

Councilmen Jorge Luis Garcia Delgado, Alvaro Cuauhtemoc Rolon Alcaraz, Rodolfo Buenrostro Ahued, Rafael Castro Vargas and Raul Melin Bañuelos, as well as the directors of the Social Development, Public Services and Public Works departments, and many others attended the ground-breaking ceremony before touring the site where the new offices will be located.

The renovated facilities will house the Social Development and Municipal Medical Services departments, Municipal Committee against AIDS (Comusida) and the Woman and Youth Institutes.

According to Mayor Bravo, renovation of the facilities will cost around $5 million pesos, and the first phase of remodeling will be completed within three months.

He pointed out that not only will these new facilities allow Municiple Agencies to provide better service to our citizens, but moving the offices to this new location will also free up some space at City Hall and eliminate some of the downtown traffic.
