Lopez Obrador Warns of Privatization Prensa Latina go to original
| The ex-presidential candidate 2006 noted the movement he represents will not accept delivering Mexican oil resources to foreigners, under any circumstances. | Mexico City - Mexican opposition leader Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador warned that Felipe Calderon's administration is trying to privatize Mexican Oil Enterprise (PEMEX) Monday by using the Brazilian government as spearhead.
On the occasion of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva´s visit to Mexico, Lopez Obrador said that the current government insist on privatizing PEMEX to make a few become rich.

During his tour through 22 municipalities of Tamaulipas state, at the northeast of the country, the politician noted contract of risk are specifically forbidden by Constitution and if Lula da Silva is ready to do it, the doors will be opened to other transnational.
The opposition leader demanded Lula not to allow his left-wing government be used by Calderon as spearhead to justify individual oil delivery, no matter if they are from inside or foreigner, because that resource is the nation's property. |
