Puerto Vallarta Bikers to the Rescue PVNN
| Residents wait for relief goods at the flood-affected community of Villa Macultepec in the Mexican state of Tabasco. Thousands of people were plucked from rooftops as water receded after flooding that left 800,000 people homeless in Tabasco state. (Reuters/Tomas Bravo) | "We are seeing one of the worst natural catastrophes in the history of the country," President Felipe Calderon said of the severe flooding in Tabasco state. "Not only because of the size of the area affected, but because of the number of people affected."
Many in Tabasco remain camped out on the rooftops or upper floors of their flooded homes to guard their possessions from looters, but their resolve is running out — along with essential supplies.
The Treehouse Bar & Grill (formerly Miguelito's,) the PV Pirates Motorcycle Club & Puerto Vallarta Choppers are sponsoring a relief drive for the severe flooding that has affected at least a million people in Mexico's tropical state of Tabasco.
Please help... Food, clothing, water and cash donations are needed! Items can be dropped off at The Treehouse Bar & Grill at Basilio Badillo #287, Casa Robby & Chio at 149/151 Gaviotas in Marina Vallarta, or at PV-Choppers in Nuevo Vallarta. |
