Mexico to Host Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba Ahora.cu go to original
An international meeting of solidarity with Cuba will take place in Mexico City on December 10-11 to condemn the constant aggressions of the US government against the island and its intentions to further increase its sanctions against the Cuban people.
The call for the meeting was issued by the Mexican Movement in Solidarity with Cuba, the Mexican Trade Union Front and a group of other trade union organizations.
According to Prensa Latina news agency, the event will be attended by representatives from the Cuban Workers' Confederation (CTC) and the Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP).
The call also denounces the arrogance with which the United States has ignored 16 resolutions passed by the UN General Assembly asking for the end of the US financial, trade and economic blockade of Cuba and the extraterritorial laws that obstruct the island's relations with the rest of the world.
It also praises the resistance of the Cuban people and calls it an example of dignity.
