A rare tornado hit the Colombian capital of Bogota lifting the roof off a local car dealership.
Although tornadoes are common in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean, they rarely hit further south. Colombian police authorities said although there had been some damage, no people were killed or injured.
Reuters' Jon Decker reports.
SOUNDBITE: Olivo Moreno, local resident, saying (English): "It touched down and moved this way and that way and then it entered a building and I thought the building was going to collapse. My God, it was awful, awful."
