Puerto Vallarta - As we begin our Christmas holiday, there are still six terminally ill children who are without a sponsoring team for the Make-A-Wish golf scramble at Flamingos Golf and Country Club on January 26th, 2008.
The field will be limited to 18 teams of 4 players. Each player will pay an entry fee of $150 USD ($1600 Pesos) for the tournament and dinner, additional dinner tickets can be purchased for $50 USD ($525 Pesos.) In addition, the teams will have sponsors that will match the team entry fee.
Each team will be assigned a child who has been diagnosed terminally ill before their 18th birthday. The entire entry fee and matching money will be used to grant that child's wish.
Each team member will receive a short history, and the wish this child has asked for. At this time there are more than 40 children on the list for wishes and this will do much to fulfill these wishes.
The format of the tournament is a scramble with tee times starting at 10 am and then every 8 minutes. You will receive a tee time via email well before the event.
You can register your team in any of the three categories, Champions, Couples, Seniors (no one player under 50 with a minimum total team age of 220.
As usual there will be "Hole in One" prizes, closest to the pin, and many lottery prizes drawn at the banquet.
