Presidential Candidates Must Learn From China Before Making Promises to Voters

Forty years ago, China symbolized the Third World at a time when the U.S. was the most prosperous country. Since then, the U.S. has become the greatest debtor nation in history while China now holds the largest foreign-currency reserves in the world. What have the Chinese done right?

"The U.S. economy is teetering into a recession. Global warming is a major concern to many Americans. But, before making promises to voters, presidential candidates must learn from the Chinese experience," says Yeh Ling-Ling, Executive Director of Diversity for a Sustainable America (DASA), herself an immigrant of Chinese descent who used to prepare immigration applications. Ms. Yeh published an article in the Providence Journal 12/31/07 entitled "New Year's Wish: Learn from China"

On 7/7/06, Mexican American professor Armando Navarro, who has organized many rallies to fight all measures to secure our borders, was quoted in the Los Angeles Times as saying, "A new majority is forming. Everything will change. The White House will be within our reach..."

According to the 2000 Census, the U.S. population increased by about 13 percent since 1990, but those who identified themselves as Mexican had grown by 53 percent. If another amnesty is granted, millions of legalized aliens will become potential voters. Many Mexican activists have publicly stated: "Today we march. Tomorrow we vote."

Presidential candidates need to read Ms. Yeh's article published in Harvard Law School's Record entitled "Examine Mexico's Real Intent Before Reforming Immigration"

Ms. Yeh's scholarly piece on Mexico's real political intent, which has been complimented by leaders of both parties not known to have supported immigration control, can be found by clicking HERE.

DASA is a national non-profit organization whose leaders and supporters, including Hispanic and Asian immigrants, are racially and politically diverse.
