| For more information, visit JaltembaSol.com or send an email to craig(at)shoetunes.com. | | From February 28th through March 2nd, the 2008 San Pancho Music Fest will continue the tradition of featuring free local, regional and international musicians plying everything from traditional Mexican Folklore and Gypsy Jazz to Bluegrass and R&B Blues. And of course, the featured performances by the local kinderkids.
There is no admission charged. Musicians perform for free. Nothing is sold.
The purpose of this fest is to show off the tranquil village of San Pancho, the musical talent of those residents who live in or are visiting the area, and to provide a common thread of joy between the cultural mix of those who reside in and visit the area. Let the Spirit of the Music Prevail!
San Pancho Music Festival at the San Francisco Plaza Del Sol
Thursday, February 28th 3-5:30 pm: Open Stage 5:30-6:30 pm: Rojo (Traditional, VeraCruz) 7:00-10 pm: Opening Ceremony, Featuring Orchestra de Musica de Valle de Banderas
Friday, February 29th 3-5 pm: Open Stage 5-6 pm: Sam Curtis & Friend (Original) 6-7 pm: Angel Trust (Folk, Blues, Light Jazz) 7-8 pm: Frida's Eyebrows (Obscure Favorites) 8-9 pm: Carlos y Amigos (Traditional Mexican Folklore) 9-10 pm: Jeff Oster and Friends (Windham Hill Recording Artist. Exotic Trumpet.)
Saturday, March 1st 3-4 pm: KinderKids (Special Program featuring the children of San Pancho and Trish) 4-5 pm: Gino (American Favorites) 5-6 pm: Paul (Bluegrass) 6-7 pm: Chaz and Friends (Jazz Fusion, Funk, Experimental) 7-8 pm: Canela and Friends (Torch, Standards, Americana) 8-9 pm: TATEWARI (Mexican Gypsy) 9-10 pm: San Pancho Jam (use your imagination)
Sunday, March 2nd 3-5 pm: KinderKids (The one's who couldn't make it on Saturday come on Sunday. This is really what the festival is about...) and Open Stage (By now, some will have gotten up the nerve....) 5-6 pm: Mango Trio (Cumbia music performed by one of the best groups you'll hear) 6-7 pm: La Shiflana (Gypsy Jazz Swing) 7-8 pm: Carlos y Beto (Mexican Traditional and Popular) 8-9 pm: Faby y Shoe y Friends (Chaz, Andy, Eusabio join Faby y Shoe for originals) 9-10 pm: Gallo y Carlos (The closing Mexican Finale that will knock your socks off!)
