The Bahía de Banderas Rotary Club invites you to participate in their First Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit the Children of Banderas Bay, which will be held at the Flamingos Golf course near Bucerías on Saturday, March 29th, starting at 9 am.

Entry Fee:
$120 USD or $1300 MN (includes lunch)
Tournament Format:
The format is a 4 man scramble. All 4 golfers hit their individual tee shots. The team captain selects the best drive and all players hit their approach shots from this location. The team plays out in this sequence until the putt is holed.
Starting Times:
There will be a 9 am shotgun start from each of the 18 holes. Plan to arrive at your assigned tee by 8:45 am. Arrive at least 45 minutes early to complete registration and hole assignments.
Scorecards:
The team should select one player as team captain. He will be responsible to enter each individual players name clearly on the scorecard, designate the category of play and maintain the team score. The team captain and one other player must sign the score card and deliver it to the scoring table immediately after completing the event.
Breaking Ties:
Ties will be broken in the following sequence: lowest back nine score, lowest front nine score, lowest hole by hole score starting from hole 18 back until the tie is broken.
Categories/Trophies:
There are three categories of competition: Champions, Seniors and Women/Youth/Couples.
Seniors must have a total of 220 years with no player under 50 years of age. Women/Youth/Couples may compete in any format, i.e.: 4 women, 2 men and 2 women, youths 14 years and younger can substitute for either men or women.
Players with a handicap of 10 or under must play from the blue tees, ladies and youth players under 14 must play from the red tees. All other players will play from the white tees. Trophies will be awarded for first place in each of the three categories.
Closest to the Hole:
Many prizes of watches, airline tickets, Tequila and much more will be awarded for "closest to the pin" and sometimes just for fun.
Hole in One:
The first player to make a "Hole in One" on the designated hole will win a 2008 Chrysler JEEP automobile. The winner will be responsible for the payment of any insurance charges or taxes.
Professional golfers may not participate in this event.

Formato del Torneo
El formato es "scramble" de 4 personas. Los cuatro jugadores pegan su tiro inicial. El capitàn del equipo selecciona el mejor tiro, y todos los jugadores dan su siguiente golpe desde ese sitio. El equipo juega en esa secuencia hasta meter una de las bolas en el hoyo.
Horarios
La salida serà a las 9.00 a.m. desde cada uno de los 18 hoyos. Planee llegar a su tee asignado a las 08:45 a.m. Favor de presentarse por lo menos 45 minutos antes para completar su registro y asignación de hoyos.
Tarjetas de Score
El equipo debe seleccionar a un jugador como capitàn. El capitàn serà responsable de anotar claramente el nombre de cada jugador en la tarjeta de score, designar la categoría de juego y llevar el score del equipo. El capitàn y otro jugador deben firmar las tarjetas de score y entregarlas a la mesa designada, inmediatamente después de terminado el evento.
Desempates
Se llevaràn a cabo con la siguiente sucesiòn: el score màs bajo de los primeros nueve hoyos, el score màs bajo de los siguientes nueve hoyos, el mejor score hoyo por hoyo empezando desde el hoyo 18 hasta el desempate.
Trofeos y Categorias
Hay tres categorías de competencia:
Campeones, Seniors y Damas/Jóvenes/Parejas.
El equipo de Seniors, debe tener un total de 220 años sin jugadores menores de 50 años.
Damas/Jóvenes/parejas, pueden competir en cualquier formato, ejemplo, 4 damas, 2 damas y 2 hombres, jóvenes de 14 años y menores pueden sustituir a hombres o a mujeres.
Jugadores con handicap de 10 o menos deberàn jugar de las marcas azules. Damas, jóvenes y jugadores menores de 14 años deberàn jugar de las marcas rojas.
El resto de los jugadores lo haràn desde las marcas blancas.
Se otorgaràn trofeos para primer, segundo y tercer lugar.
El Tiro Màs Cercano al Hoyo
Se premiarà con relojes, boletos de aviòn, botellas de tequila y mucho màs, para los "closest to the hill" y algunas veces solo por diversión.
Hoyo en Uno
El primer jugador en hacer un "hole in one" en el hoyo designado, ganarà un automóvil Jeep Chrysler 2008. El ganador serà responsable de pagar el seguro y otros impuestos.
Los jugadores profesionales no podran participar en el "hoyo en uno." |
