Click image to enlarge | Don't miss Friday Night Fights, a 14 fight boxing match at La Iguana Restaurant Bar this Friday night, May 2nd beginning at 7 pm. | | Power Punch Promotions, El Torito Sports Bar and radio station KeBuena 94.3 FM and 1110 AM will present a 14 fight boxing match at La Iguana Restaurant Bar this Friday night, May 2nd beginning at 7 pm. This will be the second time in the last two months that the same connections hooked up to present a most entertaining and successful boxing event at La Iguana.
Power Punch Gym owner and Professor Francisco "Paco" Villanueva will again headline the fight card and it will be for a title belt against Jesus "El Explosivo" Ortega from Mexico City.
The belt at stake is for the vacant Hispano Super Welterweight title. The title belt is from Spain and the winner will be crowned champion of Spanish speaking countries in the division. Villanueva is 24-6 with 15 KOs and scored the only KO on the last card at la Iguana.
There will be 10 amateur bouts with all of Paco's fighters facing boxers from Guadalajara, Guerrero and Puerto Vallarta. Following the amateur fights, there will be three professional fights before the main event.
In the Super Bantam weight division, Alberto "El Guarura" Gomez of Vallarta will face Lose Demoledor Gomez also of Puerto Vallarta. In the Flyweight division, El Chicharito Gonzalez of the Power Punch Gym will face Jose Mar Olivarez of Mexico City. The last pro fight a and co-main event will have the popular Daniel El Yelapo Lorenzo of Puerto Vallarta and Yelapa battling Tomas Sierra also of Mexico City.
Tickets are $150 pesos in advance and can be purchased at El Torito Sports Bar or Gold's Gym. The tickets will be $200 pesos at the door, the night of the event. |
