Mexico City - Some 400 Mexican political, Union and social organizations will march today in solidarity with the Cuban Revolution.
The march from the Benito Juarez Hemiciclo to the US embassy will urge to end US aggressions and economic war against Cuba.
A press release by the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba said Mexico would honor 50 years of the Cuban people’s successful resistance to US interferences and blockade.
It also highlighted Cuba's impressive achievements in health, education and social welfare despite the economic siege encouraged by the United States.
The march will hail solidarity with a country that promotes the interests of the vast majority of people, not of few businessmen and transnationals, and the 55th anniversary of the assault on Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Barracks, the solidarity organizations asserted.
The progressive forces around the world celebrate July 26, Day of National Rebelliousness in Cuba, which marks the beginning of Cuban armed struggle in 1953 under Fidel Castro's command, leading to the Revolution's victory on January 1st, 1959. |
