Entertainment | Restaurants & Dining | July 2008  Readers' Choice Award Winning Restaurants PVNN After setting a Reader's Choice Awards record by picking up seven 1st place prizes last year, Daiquiri Dick's Restaurant was a big winner once again, earning first place in four categories, second place for "Best Overall," third place for "Best Service" and tying with La Palapa for "Best Breakfast" in the 2008 Readers' Choice Awards. With so many diverse choices in dining, art and entertainment in Puerto Vallarta and around Banderas Bay, it is difficult to single out "the best of the best," but every year, Virtual Vallarta's Readers' Choice Awards give Puerto Vallarta residents and visitors alike an easy way to spread the good word about the places they've found to be exceptional. Now in it's seventh year, this annual online survey, which encompasses almost 50 categories ranging from the best live music venue to the best health club and martini, allows voters to determine who will be taking home the top honors in any or all categories of this locally coveted awards competition. This year, online polling took place from February 5 to June 15, 2008, resulting in the largest voter turnout ever.
