But for models and photographers, it is a week of hard work and play revolving around a photography and bikini model contest in the biggest swimwear model competition in the world, the famous UjENA Jam.
Ujena Swimwear and Fashion has led the swimwear industry for over twenty years, so back in 1985, Ujena Swimwear Company founder, Bob Anderson, created the Ujena Jam Talent Search Week to find models and photographers for Ujena catalogs, magazines, videos and websites.
Now in it's 24th year, the Ujena Jam is a fun way for aspiring models and photographers who want to be discovered or take their careers to the next level, however, life on the other side of the cameras and bikinis is a lot of work.
This week, more than 180 models and photographers are literally working from sun-up to sundown at locations all around Banderas Bay as they compete for more than $200,000 in prizes, Jam scholarships and contracts and the coveted Ujena Model of the Year Award, at the 2008 UjENA Jam Puerto Vallarta, which continues through August 31st.
BanderasNews Videographer, Devon Allistone, went behind the scenes at a Sunrise Photo Shoot with the professional photographers and some of the world's most beautiful models as they show off UjENA's newest and most popular swimwear for 2008!
