Mexico for Humanitarian Aid to Cuba Prensa Latina go to original
Mexico City - An appeal to send humanitarian aid to Cuba, affected by two consecutive powerful hurricanes, was published Thursday by La Jornada newspaper.
The call made by the Mexican Movement of Solidarity with Cuba reports on the opening of a local bank account, on behalf of Senator Rosario Ibarra, to receive deposits that will be immediately transferred to victims on the Caribbean island.
The note states that material donations must be centered in three areas: canned foods, powdered milk or new blankets. Donations will be received in seven centers, mainly in the premises of the Workers Party and the Partido de la Revolucion Democratica.
There will be two days for collection this weekend in the central Juarez Chamber, and a tent with equal purpose in the capital's Zocalo square, according to the appeal from that friendship movement with Cuba. |
