Mexico Peso Trades Near Record Low on Waning High-Yield Demand

Mexico's peso traded near a record low amid a decline in most emerging-market currencies and global stocks as investors pulled out of higher-yielding assets.

The peso fell as much as 3 percent to 14.3017 per U.S. dollar, from 13.879 yesterday.

It traded at 13.5857 at 9:08 a.m. New York time.

Fifteen of the 26 most-traded currencies in developing nations fell against the U.S. dollar today.
