Navigation in Mexican Air Space Services (Seneam) director Agustín Arellano ruled out the possibility that the pilot of Learjet 45 in which Interior Secretary Juan Camilo Mouriño was traveling had made an emergency call to the control center at Mexico City International Airport.

At a press conference, he said that the audio held at the control center showed that there was no traffic in the airspace preventing the airship’s arrival.

For his part, Communications and Transport Secretary Luis Téllez said that for the first time in the history of Mexican aeronautics, details of the journey and the height at which the crashed plane was flying will be revealed as part of the President's bid to ensure transparency.
