 Prepare your palate! Festival Gourmet International Vallarta, the annual food and wine event that has been tempting the tastebuds of Banderas Bay area residents and visitors for the last 13 years, returns to Puerto Vallarta from November 13th-23rd.
A Puerto Vallarta tradition, the annual Gourmet Festival features renowned international chefs who come to share their best recipes with talented chefs from some of the finest restaurants around Banderas Bay for the enjoyment of both local and visiting lovers of fine cuisine.
Those who are familiar with Puerto Vallarta's annual Gourmet Festival can expect some of the same spectacular festivities you've come to know and love - like the Chef's Table and Winemaker Dinners, the fantastic Sunday Brunch and the spectacular Final Gala - and a few new events, courtesy of the Festival Gourmet committee.
This year, the 14th Annual International Festival Gourmet will open with a Welcome Gala Dinner, complete with live music, and of course, fantastic food, at the fabulous Casa Mar in Nuevo Vallarta. Casa Mar is not a hotel. It is a dream site chosen especially for the Gourmet Festival's opening.
Additionally, this year's Gourmet Festival will mark the debut of activities such as "Cappuccino Design & Latte Art," where you will be able to experience several artistic techniques to spice up you favorite coffee creation.
At the "Spaghettata" you will be able to observe the guest chefs preparing spaghetti, bruschetta, and several other dishes paired with the perfect wine. This event will also include a raffle to raise funds for Casa de Ancianos de Puerto Vallarta, a local residence for seniors.
Other new events include "Combining Wines and Xocodiva Chocolates," the "Tómbola and Miele Experience," the "Gourmet Theater" and the "Chef's Wall of Fame."
The 14th annual Puerto Vallarta International Festival Gourmet also offers you the opportunity to attend cooking classes, learn about wine pairing, taste the newest and best in both wines and tequila, and, of course, savor the flavors of Mexico - and the world - at some of the finest restaurants in Puerto Vallarta.
