Pesky insects have been keeping Guavas, a native fruit to Mexico and Central America, out of the hands U.S. residents for years, but that’s changing. “This is the first time the U.S. government allows Mexican guava to go into the country.” Monica moreno came all the way from Mexico promoting this exotic fruit.
“Maybe you find green guavas here in the U.S. but they're from Florida or California the us grows them but they are a little tart.” “This is the first time American consumers will be able to taste Mexican guavas, from what we hear is that they’re very sweet and they smell good too.” “The ones that are bright yellow those are the sweetest.”
“Mas aroma, mas sabor mas concentracion de azucar.” Their company says this little thing ...is also more nutritional compared to other fruits. Guavas are known to be the queen's of vitamin-c. The Mexican guavas are abundant in Mexico... They’re hoping guavas will become gold mines for people in states that produce it improving their quality of life. “We want to increase the demand here in the U.S. so we can have economic impact.” |
