First Festival Cuale Grand Finale Weekend
email this pageprint this pageemail usPhilippo Lo Grande - PVNN

Don't miss the grande finale of Vallarta's First Annual Festival Cuale, 'Culture in Motion' from 11 am-8 pm on Friday and Saturday. (Philippo Lo Grande)
The heart of Puerto Vallarta was formed many years ago when the Rio Cuale split in two and formed a small island just before emptying into the ocean. Capitalizing on this good fortune, the town has been working for decades to bring the residents and visitors of Puerto Vallarta a place where they can enjoy a leisurely day of strolling, shopping and dining.

For the past three weekends, the 1st annual Festival Cuale, Culture in Motion, has been building up to this grand finale weekend.

Starting on Friday at 11 am with paintings at the Museum, a photo show featuring photographs of the Island's flora and fauna and two musical groups performing on the newly built stage below the pedestrian bridge.

Saturday will be the final day with even more events, including a painting show by Grimaldo and Mariachi performances, all ending at 8 pm so as not to disturb the local residents with four legs, wings, fur or fin.

After the event closes there are plenty of places on the river where you can enjoy a good meal, like the River Cafe, Le Bistro, Oscar's and Botero Cafe, to name a few.
