Mexico City - The Televisa TV station in Monterrey, Mexico, came under attack Tuesday night from gunmen who launched a grenade and fired a high-power rifle, federal authorities said.

There were no wounded or injured, the Mexican attorney general's office said.

Officials said they did not know who launched the attack, though the Diario de Monterrey newspaper said narcotics traffickers were responsible.

Monterrey is the capital of the state of Nuevo Leon in northeastern Mexico and is considered one of the most important cities in the nation.
