Mexican Govt Asked to Stop Violence on Emigrants

The Migration Forum, The Civilian Network Organizations, demanded urgent interference of the government to stop the spiral of violence against emigrants that cross the country to reach the US.

In a communiqué the Forum remarked that criminality has alarmingly intensified as a way to stop migration flow in different entities of the Mexican Republic.

The organizations that work for the defense, promotion and spreading of human rights of international migrant people demanding for asylum and refugee considered the situation brutal.

It gave details that the treatment is reflected in multiple murders, humiliations like extrajudicial execution, kidnapping, sexual abuses, hits and mutilations all with evidences and publicly denounced.

Last Wednesday four Guatemalans and 4 Salvadorians without identity papers were seriously hurt when the car where they were traveling crashed after being persecuted by the Federal Police In Chiapas, Mexican State.

Exigen actuación del gobierno mexicano contra violencia a migrantes

México - El Foro Migraciones, red de organizaciones civiles mexicanas, exigió hoy la intervención urgente del gobierno para frenar la espiral de violencia contra personas migrantes que atraviesan el país para llegar a Estados Unidos.

Remarcó en un comunicado que se ha recrudecido de manera alarmante la criminalidad como medida para frenar los flujos migratorios, en diferentes entidades de la República mexicana.

La organización, que trabaja en la defensa, promoción y difusión de los derechos humanos de las personas migrantes internacionales, solicitantes de asilo y refugiados, calificó de brutal tal situación.

Detalló que ahora ese trato se refleja en asesinatos múltiples vejaciones como ejecuciones extrajudiciales, secuestros, abusos sexuales, golpes y mutilaciones, todos documentados y denunciadas públicamente.

El miércoles último, cuatro guatemaltecos y tres salvadoreños indocumentados resultaron heridos de gravedad cuando el vehículo en que viajaban chocó tras ser perseguido por la Policía Federal en el estado mexicano de Chiapas.
