Agreement a Major Step towards Protecting Employment and Ensuring Economic Stability: President Calderón Presidencia de la República go to original
| (Presidencia de la República) | | Mexico City - President Felipe Calderón declared that the National Agreement to Promote Families’ Economies is designed to offset the effects of the international economic downturn and to protect Mexicans’ jobs and economies by implementing various actions by the country's political and social sectors.
In the Treasury Hall of the National Palace, the President reported that this agreement, signed by governors, the legislative branch, social, business and workers' organizations as well as the President, is based on five main axes:
1. Supporting workers’ employment.
2. Supporting families’ economies
3. Supporting competitiveness and Small and Medium Businesses
4. Investment and infrastructure to promote competitiveness and employment.
5. Encouraging actions to promote more transparent and efficient public spending. |
